ÒOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
TOEFL is required when applying for colleges and universities in the USÀ,
Canada and many European countries. The test is comprised of the
following 4 components: Listening, Structure, Reading and Essay
Writing. There are two alternatives for taking TOEFL – either on
computer or on paper, with maximum scores of respectively 300 or 677
point. The test has a two-year validity.
When and where is TOEFL
administered?
The Computer-based TOEFL is administered in Sofia every Monday,
Wednesday and Friday, as well as every third Saturday. For the
Paper-Based TOEFL there are 4 appointed test dates – in August,
October, January and May and it is administered only in Varna. The
test fee for both Computer-Based and Paper-Based TOEFL is 130 USD.
How
to register for TOEFL?
A student can register for either the Computer-Based or Paper-Based
TOEFL at the Information Center. For the Paper-Based test there are 4
appointed dates of registration, always on Saturday from 9 a.m. till 1
p.m.; the registration fee is 7 leva. For the Computer-Based TOEFL the
registration takes place every Tuesday from 9.30 till 12.30 and then
from 14 till 16; the registration fee is 25 and the student should
also bring their ID.
