Cambridge Certificates
The Cambridge tests are designed to test the knowledge of general
English, English for Special Purposes and English for academic
purposes and the Cambridge Certificates are internationally recognized
and are life-long valid. The tests of EFL - English as a Foreign
Language are developed and administered by one of the largest world
organizations for language skills UCLES (University of Cambridge Local
Examinations Syndicate). The tests consist of the following sections:
Reading, Writing, Use of English, Listening и Speaking.
КЕТ
(Key English Test) – basic language knowledge necessary for
communicating in English; 8-10 minute oral conversation with 2
professors
Preliminary
English Test (PET) – this level of English language knowledge allows for a
fluent communication in a working environment
FCE (First Certificate of
English) – the most popular among all of the certificates
acknowledging a very good command of the English language which
enables its holder to apply for a job abroad or to foreign
institutions of higher education.
CAE (Certificate in Advanced
English) – very high level of English language knowledge
necessary for academic and professional purposes. Recognized by most
universities in the world.
CPE
(Certificate of Proficiency in English) – certifies the highest level of language
competency. Recognized by universities in the UK and many
English-speaking countries. This qualification allows for applying for
jobs where an excellent command of the English language is required.
